Who Is This Site For?

At its core, this site is for you, the person using WordPress to build your website or those for your clients. It’s also for you, the person with the Entrepreneurial spirit. The one with a WordPress-powered website for building or promoting any kind of business online.

The person who wants to learn how to use WordPress to create their own online business, how to market it, and how to actually make a full-time income online.

Why This Site Exists

The reasons are many, and I write about them here, but put simply, this site exists to help you. Here you’ll find tutorials about using WordPress the software, WordPress plugins and which ones to use to accomplish something in WordPress, and online marketing and business methods I’ve used myself or learn about right along with you.

My WordPress Story

My WordPress story began in early 2004, not long after my brother passed away. His passing led me into a photo memorial DVD business named Moving Moments. A business that needed a website.

Although I had been dabbling in writing HTML and creating websites since the late 90s, I hired someone else to create the Moving Moments business website. The business grew quickly after partnering with a local funeral home to create memorial DVDs for families who had lost their loved ones.

It wasn’t long before I started sharing example videos of the memorials I was creating which required more and more content being adding to static HTML files. I had also discovered blogging and wanted to add that to my site.

It was then I discovered WordPress. And WordPress has been by my side through that business, several day jobs, and into today where I run a full-time WordPress plugin business named FooPlugins. It also led me to my full-time position as the Open Source Community Manager for SiteLock, a 250+ company and the global leader in website security.
